About Arthur B. Macomber

In 2003, after ten years at Pacific Bell, three years as a Stage Carpenter with Local 16 IATSE, three years as a Better Homes Realtor, and five years in computer sales and server product development at Micron PC, Mr. Macomber at age 48 graduated from Hastings College of the Law at the University of California. In 1998, he had received his undergraduate degree from George Fox University. He has published widely on real estate issues in the Idaho State Bar's Advocate Magazine (search "Macomber" at https://heinonline.org/HOL/Welcome); taught Contracts Drafting at Gonzaga University School of Law and Contracts for Paralegals at North Idaho College; and presented "Resolving Boundary Disputes" and "Avoiding, Identifying, and Resolving Ethical Issues in Land Transactions and Disputes" for Continuing Legal Education credit before real-property-related professionals such as surveyors, civil engineers, and other attorneys. To begin his legal career, Art created and held 24 free public seminars for North Idaho landowners and citizens interested in the North Idaho Water Adjudication.

Art ran and lost his bid for Idaho State Attorney General in the May 2022 primary.

Art is an avid reader and an active member of the Coeur d'Alene community. When not hard at work, he enjoys walking, reading English legal history, spending time with his wife and grown children, and doing crosswords. Art plays no golf and cannot be paid to try. He will go bowling before golfing.

Art has argued five cases before the Idaho Supreme Court. Art continues to be fascinated with more complex problems in real property law, State and federal constitutional law, and local issues of many types.
